    Future of www.syracuse-crunch.com

Another season wraps up Saturday.  A disappointing one for sure, but I always enjoy that one last time to hang with some pals and wish everyone a great summer.

As some of you may remember,  I almost didn't do the website this season, for a variety of reasons, the main one being not really having the time to do all the things I would like to do with it.   Real world responsibilities have put a real Crunch (no pun intended) on my time for hobbies.

After a lot of soul searching, I have decided to continue to do the site again next season.  I am once again reaching out, looking for folks to contribute.  If anyone is interested in doing anything to help, drop me a line.

I will not be continuing the message board, however, and will shut that down in a week or so.   There hasn't been enough usage to make it worth keeping up and sadly,  much of usage there has been has been misusage. In addition, message boards in general are going the way of the dinosaur. With Blogs, Facebook and countless other ways to voice one's opinion online,  message boards aren't really needed.  I want to thank those of you who have enjoyed it over the years and to Mike and Alex for moderating this past season.

For those I may not run into tomorrow, have a great summer!

    -Dave

Thanks, Dave. The site and the board have always been right up there for any news on the Crunch. I understand what you are saying, but I'll miss the board. Social networking sites are not for me. I have my ticket for tomorrow night, but I'm not really up for going. Long ride, the beer's cheaper at home, and (maybe in poor taste) a bit like going to a wake...Then again, maybe a sense of obligation gets us there

    There's always next year.

Thank you for everything you do and have done, Dave. Your vote of confidence meant a lot to me, as a person and as a fan. It's been (mostly) fun. We'll still see you around.

Thanks Dave and glad to have worked with you on some stuff. If there is anything you need me to do to help out just say the word as I will do what I can!

Thanks for all the hard work.

This board has been a learning toll for many young hockey fans and new hockey fans.

I am sure the crunch office will also miss all of the hard work you have done for them.

Maybe we can turn the Syracuse.Com message board into a decent place to post info about the team and to *** about Ross Yates.

Thanks for the efforts Dave and company.  Like the message board, but c'est la vie.

Dave, thank you for all your hard work over the years. I will certainly miss this board. For a better alternative to the syracuse.com board may I suggest going to www.AHLFans.net/forums . There is a Crunch section which needs a lot more support.
Join the Crunch Broomball Team... great fun on the ice!
