Crunch Time

That is a great article!  It got me thinking about this playoff run and how we fans "deserve" a championship for all the lean years we supported the Crunch, both with our money and physical presence.   While that may be true to some extent,   Howard Dolgon is the man that really deserves a Championship, along with his long time staff members, Vance Lederman and Jim Sarosy.   These are the guys that are around the rink listening to our suggestions and frustrations in both good and bad times, putting in crazy hours during the season, and doing whatever it takes to keep hockey alive and well in Syracuse.   It makes me happy to not only see the Crunch hitting round two, but also how solid the attendence has been, while other team's playoff attendence has been subpar.  Hopefully we wil see good crowds Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

I don't know much about other organizations, but for Howard, Vance, and Jim to have the presence they do at the games speaks volumes about their passion for hockey!  Not only that, they are fan accesible!  It makes for an exciting atmosphere.

I agree with the point that edfmonton never would have won without dave samenko protecting messier and gretzky, and islanders wouldn't have won without guys like gillies and nystrom. he did hit those points dead on.

Yes Howard and the crew are a special bunch of guys. I have put together with my wife a couple of benifits over the last 2 years and asked the Crunch to help and they gave me a team signed Jersery for one and a team signed stick for the other. I asked other sports programs around town and it was harder getting anything from them. The Crunch was right there to help. That to me speaks volume of who these guys are and that they appreciate us as much as we do them. I have been to a couple of the fan forums with Dolgan and we can be very tough on him and through all that hehas made the right decisions and it seems to be paying off this year. Everyone that see Howard Vance, and Jim should say thank you and shake their hands these next couple games.
