Well I'm at a loss of words. Tough loss, but I felt it was coming anyways. First off, I thought this team was trying to get too fancy. I do remember one instance where westcott had a point blank shot and tried to pass to brule...they definetly were trying to get too fancy like they were waiting for some kind of "perfect opportunity". But at the same time, I felt like if they at least kept up their momentum and kept working at it, eventually it went in. A big blow and part of the reason they didn't I will have to blame on karl. He was playing fine to start, but when the puck is shot at ya and when there is not even a screen, and the shot is average speed, you need your goalie to stop those. The attutude goes to "jeez if he can't stop that, what the hell do I gotta do". Not saying Karl IS an awful goalie, but one thing is for sure, he had a really bad night and I gotta blame a part of this loss on him. Munro wasn't much better either, I did feel he got stronger as the game went on and he got more shots, but what do you expect? The guy hasn't even played in weeks, I knew he wouldn't be able to stop a beach ball if they shot it at him...just a bad night for both goalies. I really don'ty know who should start tomorrow. I dopn't know how good munro is(I do think he'd be a lot better than tonight) so you'd think karl would play, but at the same time, karl didn't give us much of a chance to win in this one...maybe start karl and he can shake it off? Maybe yates should just sleep on it...I gotta blame everyone for that one. We couldn't do much in goal, but we werne't doing a hell of a lot more in front of our goalies. But we were outshooting toronto through the first two periods...take it as it is I guess.
I was happy to see the fights brake out at the end...sent a good message for sure. Tomorrow nights game should be fun!
