Bohonos19, our buddy lonny is officially done as Dave said. lol believe me, nobody wants to see him make a comeback to syracuse more than me...my favorite all time crunch player, scoring wise, this team has never had anyone better than him. Numbers and points wise, nobody really compares to what lonny did for the crunch.
I've ragged on karl for being a wuss and gotten heat from you guys, but fact is, he has been solid. and he has done a great job for us. Will he be in our plans? Bohonos19 put it...as much as karl is a nice guy and done a great job, this is a business at the end of the day. Believe me, no one is a better businessman than howard dolgon(the guy wanted britney spears to come here, seriously hahahahaha)
Now, I could see columbus maybe moving norrena or using him as trade bait with the fact they are losing bodies in columbus, they do have 11 forwards right now that arent even here, and vyborny has went over to europe for good, and peca is likely gone as well. Unless we go all the way and win the calder cup(fingers crossed) I wouldn't count on columbus promoting too many guys from the crunch. POINT IS: With few bodies, or whatever they do choose to do with the guys here, i could see norrena being trade bait to bring someone big into columbus this summer to improve their hockey club...how that may affect us? Could that affect karl? could that affect promoting steve mason right away? I wouldn't be surprised, afterall, they didn't give brule much time to develop at all. I mean cmon, he can barely produce at the ahl level. That is just a thought of possibility, but fact is, columbus has never been in love that much with karl, so I think we all know what will happen this summer... I could see the norrena deal happening, columbus needs to make moves, other than zherdev and fritche, who else do they move?
I just hate getting too deep into what we're gonna do in the offseason, when I BELIEVE THAT IS FAR FROM NOW. We'll worry about all that bullshit in the summer, right now, the only focus is for the crunch to bring the clader cup back to syracuse!
