I will guarantee you that LaCosta will not step foot on the ice no matter how long we continue to play hockey this year.  Its a non-story because Goenring is our goalie and will still be our goalie in the Calder Cup finals!!!

LaCosta knows he will be on the roster next season along with Mason so he will say whatever Columbus wants him to say in terms of his recovery.  How is any doctor going to prove that he is not suffering the effects of a concussion in May or June?  Who cares that he is practicing?  My entire point was that I don't think the article about Yates and LaCosta were necessary on the gameday of a playoff game.  I also find it funny that the Crunch's loss last night made the top fold.  Let's see what happens tomorrow after tonights victory!!!

    Re: Lindsay Kramer: LaCosta Non-Story

I have mixed feelings on this whole issue.

I enjoy the work of both Bobbymac and Lindsay.  Try to keep in mind though,  Kramer is not an employee of the Crunch/Jackets and therefore, should be much more unbiased than Bobby, and certainly should not be a "fan".   I  believe his stories should be based on facts,  but by the same token,  there will always be "news" that is best not reported, out of respect for the team and its success.   Did the LaCosta story(ies) cross that line?   I am not sure, leaning towards no, but could see how would could "read between the lines" on the issue.    The whole injury rule is absurd, since no one really follows it anyway.  I think Kramer generally uses good judgment.  Thinking about the Jaffray issue....if one of our players called the Marlies' owner a Retard,  I don't think he would print that.  When you hear puck bunny stories,  he doesn't track them down and do a story on the alleged menages or whatever exploits are being thrown around...I think you get the ideal.

As for borrowing ideas and stories from this board....doesn't bother me.   He and I have joked about it, but in essence, I feel that is a good thing.  Because we are just fans on a message board, pretty much all "scoops" are just rumors until someone with access can substantiate them.  He has that access and is often able to clear things up for the fans through his blog.  Bottom line:  More information, more readily available....everyone wins.

Sorry but i do not care what anyone writes. I have followed Bobby and Lindsey all year long and like both. Yes we might have and issue come the next series but I do not think so. If Karl can not play than oh well they will make due, and I still believe Munroe will come down with a groin or something. Let the AHL prove it because they can not. Karl is the man and will be throughout. Lacosta will get some time no doubt as well and will prove himself. There is no one onthis team that will let this run end if they can do something about it.

Can't wait till Friday and lets end it there. I do not care if it comes back and know it will be over on Friday which is my birthday. Sorry had to add that because there has never been a game as long as I have been a fan(1998) on this day! I have heard that this organization has gone to the next round but like I said since I have been a fan.

Even if it does come back here we will win!

    CrazyWill:

Why not? We seem to win for the most pat nomatter who's in goal. We beat lake erie with munro in, we beat bingo, we won how many games after lacosta came back and wa splaying before he got hurt...we'll be fine. Goehring has played well, but, I find it hard to believe that this team would all of a sudden sink just because lacosta comes back in net, when he earned the job before karl even did. Goehring has done a nice job, but, lacosta has playued aweosme when he was in net as well. Problem is lacosta will be rusty like munro was, so his first game or two back in could be rough ones...but after that we'll be fine.

CW - we agree on a lot of posts here but I have to disagree with this post. It's playoff hockey and when you have a goalie that is on a hot streak (even with a bump in the road, it does happen) you have to ride the hot hand until it absolutely is not hot anymore.

You mention the rust factor if LaCosta came back and played and it taking a "game or two" to get back into playing shape. One or two games may not even be enough to knock the rust off and even if it were a game or two, that game or games could be enough to cost a series in the playoffs. If it ain't broke- don't fix it, definitely applies here.

I belive that Goehring should get the starts untill he cools off then i would like to see Lacosta in Monroe seems like he just isnt in to the game as much as Lacosta is at times but we will ride it out and see what happens maybe Goering will stay hot then we might have a delema but this team is a winning team we dont rely on one goalie

I understand freakzilla...it is common sense to ride the hot goalie, as long as the time wins, who cares right? if it ain't broke, don't fix it...I understand. But freakzilla, I don't think you understtod me. I'm talking about lacosta because fact is, if he's healthy, then karl can't dress. I'm just talking about the scenario for if he returns...behind the scenes, who knows, they may try to get him to fake an injury for the rest of the year so we can ride karl(I think is dumb, he's gonna be back here next year, I wanna see him establish himself and get the fans confidence in him back now) I think one or two games would be enough, I'm just sayin, what choice do we have if he is cleared? If he isn't, we got karl and as long as we win, we're good. But I do feel we could win with lacosta in net, we have won plenty with him in net before...and once again, in a way, I'd like to see lacosta get cleared and play because, he's gonna be here next year. He is still arguable a prospect for columbus, so I'd kind of like to see him get cleared and make a name for himself, and prove to all of the fans that we can win with him in net, not just goehring in net.
