    5/2 GDT vs Toronto...Game 1

Should be another great series.   I think we will see more offense out of the Crunch in this one

I agree, Dave...it's going to be a slight change, but we know the Crunch can play that game, too, and play it well. Can't wait for it to start!

Does anyone know if the games are on TV?

I have a feeling the offense will be better this series but also the rough stuff might be a little more as well with how much these two teams hate each other. Should be very fun series. I am working out a deal with my boss to hit Tuesday and Wednesdays games next week. Can't miss these games. I need a day job instead of nights!

2-0 after one...goals by Mac and Wilson.  Crunch looking good so far!

Nice way to start the game as well with that fight from konopka and murphy...how many times have they fought each other this year? 30? lol seems that way...and manning all the games are on TW26! Good start from the crunch so far. Funny to see Kyle Rodgers of all people fighting, he's straight out of niagara!

Haven't seen Nasty either but he might get a couple now as it is 5-1 Crunch. All I can say is WOW!

Also a couple very nice plays by Brule as I have been his biggest critic. Can not say enough of Butch in goal either. When LaCosta is healthy I would not be suprised to see Munroe come down with the flu or pull his groin again(wink wink)

It was a game of PornStache's vs. Mohawks.  I'll take Mohawks every time! Wink

Seriously, what is up with those Stache's on Toronto players?  Is that by design?  Do they all leave the game in their Camaro's too?

Nice showing by the Crunch. No OT! Toronto not as shy as the Moose, either. Interesting.

What did you think of the Toronto TV coverage? They had no mercy after the game dissecting Toronto's shortcomings, and not too much of the "homer" spin either. Lots of folks reporting too...I wonder if the TV coverage is like that all year for Toronto.

    Looking forward to Sunday.

Nice to see what happens when the Crunch face a "human" goaltender.  5 different goal scorers and and easy win.   Nice to see Wilson get on the board, his production is needed.   What more can you say about Derek Mackenzie?   This is an amazing group of veterans.   Camera shots of Linger trying to get God knows what off his mustache while on the bench I could do without.

It's like that all year, yeah. Leafs TV has been known to broadcast practices during the day, and that kind of second guessing is required to work as a reporter in the Center of the Hockey Universe (trademark pending). Keep in mind that when Jason Blake announced he had the cancer early this season, one of the beat Toronto reporters asked Blakey at the press conference if that would explain his slow start to the season.

And yet that's the team I cheer for...

Total dismantling tonight. I just wouldn't get too cocky though. After all, there has to be a reason this team ran and hid in first place all year, right? Gilbert is a solid coach, and Pogge is a much better goalie than Clemmensen, in my opinion. Still, it's a solid first step forward. Hopefully the boys can keep it going Sunday.

Back up in 5 hours to head to the Bronx...last trip to the House That Ruth Built.

It's the John Holmes look. Fitting, considering they took like he did toward the end of his career. According to his Wikipedia page, that is...

You think their locker room reeks of Drakkar Noir too? Big Smile

I thought the Toronto coverage was great after being vilified for two weeks. They were really fair to both teams. Great game by the Crunch! Really good to see that offensive side come out a little more. I don't expect another game like this, though...I think Toronto will tighten it up a lot between now and Sunday.
